Windshield wipers are a key safety item on your vehicle that you shouldn’t neglect. Over time, the rubber degrades, which reduces your wiper blades’ effectiveness. To inspect your windshield wipers, lift up the wiper blade arms and take a close look at the rubber blades. If you see cracking, fraying, and/or distortion, that is a good sign your wiper blades need to be replaced. Additionally, if you get streaking, squeaking, or just find your wiper blades ineffective, you should consider replacement.

Step-by-Step Instructions:

Step 1: Replace the front windshield wipers.

  • Lift up each windshield wiper arm.
  • Rotate the windshield wiper up, then slide it out.
  • Insert your new windshield wiper.
  • Repeat for the other windshield wiper arm.

Step 2: Replace the rear windshield wiper.

  • Lift the rear wiper blade up.
  • Grab the rear wiper blade near the center where it pivots and simply pull it out.
  • Insert the new wiper blade and ensure it pops firmly into place.
  • Clean up your work area. You’re all done!
